The following contest is intended for existing customers of Paradigm Quest Inc., operating as MERIX Financial (“MERIX”) who are legal residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province/territory of residence prior to entry.

The Contest is called the "MERIX Mortgage Giveaway2025" (the "Contest"). The Contest sponsor is MERIX (the "Sponsor").

YOU MUST HAVE REACHED AGE OF MAJORITY TO ENTER THIS CONTEST.

NO PURCHASE IS REQUIRED TO ENTER BUT YOU MUST HAVE AN EXISTING MORTGAGE WITH MERIX AND MUST REGISTER YOUR PROFILE ON MYMERIX by clicking on the ‘Registration’ link on www.mymerix.com.

By registering your profile, you can access the dedicated Contest Website to enter.

By entering the contest, you acknowledge and agree that:
(i) you have read and understood these Rules in their entirety;
(ii) you are eligible to participate in the Contest; and
(iii) you agree to abide by the Rules, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to the Contest.

From all eligible entries received, the winner(s) will be selected in the manner detailed below. Eligibility criteria to enter the Contest are described below.

PERSONS RESIDING IN JURISDICTIONS OTHER THAN CANADA ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO WIN ANY PRIZES IN CONNECTION WITH THIS CONTEST.

Employees, representatives and agents (and those with whom they are domiciled) of the Sponsor, the contest administrator Environics Analytics, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, web masters, site providers, contest judges and/or persons engaged in the development of the promotional material, and any mortgage broker are not eligible to participate in this Contest.

Government Agencies are not connected with this Contest and are not liable in any way whatsoever in regard to any matter which relates to this Contest.

Persons that do not have a mortgage with the Sponsor are also not eligible to participate in the Contest.

1. Contest Period

The Contest will run from October 1, 2025, 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") to December 31, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. ET (the "Contest Period").

2. How To Enter

No purchase necessary to enter or to win but you must be an existing customer of MERIX and must register your profile on MyMERIX to enter the Contest. The Contest is offered electronically only and is accessible through MyMERIX at www.mymerix.com.

Registration:
Access www.mymerix.com during the Contest Period. If you have not previously registered your profile, click on the ‘Registration’ link, complete the online registration form and submit as instructed (the "Registration"). All fields on the Registration form must be completed unless they are indicated as optional. Registration will be governed by the privacy rules of the site that can be viewed at https://www.merixfinancial.com/privacy-legal. Once you have completed the Registration you will then be able to access the MERIX Mortgage Giveaway contest link (the "Contest Website") and register for the contest by agreeing to these Rules. If you agree, the Sponsor will send you notices and reminders about the Contest and future MERIX Mortgage Giveaway contests.

Entry Mechanism:
Once an entrant has completed the online Registration process, he/she can earn entries for Prizes (“Ballots”) by logging on to the MyMERIX portal, accessing the Contest Website, and completing an activity described on the Contest website. Limit one (1) Registration per MyMERIX account holder.

For each of the Prize Months (October, November and December respectively) during the Contest Period, if the entrant logs onto the Contest Website at least once during that calendar month, the entrant will have the opportunity to complete the specific activity on the Contest website and receive twenty (20) Ballots for that Prize Month (“Monthly Ballots”) in accordance with these Rules.

For each activity required to earn Monthly Ballots, the required action as outlined in the description or instructions must be completed in full and meet the compliance guidelines outlined below and on the Contest website to be accepted as a valid entry to the Contest. The activity that the entrant is required to complete to earn Monthly Ballots shall be available as follows:

• October Prize Month: October 1 to October 31, 2025
• November Prize Month: November 1 to November 30, 2025
• December Prize Month: December 1 to December 31, 2025

Any activities that involve written answers are limited to a maximum of 400 words or 2000 characters. Responses that are deemed offensive, harmful, defamatory, or in violation of federal or provincial human rights laws, or that infringe the privacy or intellectual property of any third party will not be accepted and the entry will be forfeited by the entrant. Responses should not include personal information of any person other than the entrant, brands/logos of any third party, or attachments.

In addition, entrants will have the opportunity to earn additional Bonus Ballots during the Contest Period by completing the following activities:

• If the entrant visits the MERIX Website using a link provided on the Contest website, the entrant will receive four (4) Ballots;
• If the entrant visits the MERIX Facebook page using a link provided on the Contest website, the entrant will receive four (4) Ballots;
• If the entrant signs up for or confirms their registration for marketing emails* using a link provided on the Contest Website, the entrant will receive four (4) Ballots;
• If the entrant signs up for or confirms their registration for paperless document delivery* using a link provided on the Contest Website, the entrant will receive four (4) Ballots;
• If the entrant signs up for Contest reminder communications* using a link provided on the Contest Website, the entrant will receive four (4) Ballots.

Limit one (1) prize per person.
When the entrant logs into the Content Website, their total number of Ballots toward the Prize draws will be displayed.

If an entrant’s Ballot is not selected as a winner and the entrant receives Monthly Ballots in the next month, the entrant’s previously obtained Ballots will be included in the next Prize draw.

For example, a Ballot received on October 6, 2025, will be entered into the next two (2) Prize draws occurring later in the Contest Period if the entrant also obtains Monthly Ballots in November and December, unless one of the entrant’s Ballots is subsequently selected as a winner.

* Signing-up for marketing emails, signing-up for paperless document delivery, and signing up for Contest reminder communications can only be completed once and are thus each eligible for one (1) entry only upon completion.

An entrant must remain signed-up for marketing emails and paperless document delivery on their MyMERIX portal from the date they signed-up or confirmed their registration to the end of the Contest Period for the ballot to be valid.

An entrant who cancels their registration to electronic communications and/or electronic documents during the Contest Period invalidates the Ballots associated with the sign-up.

Any attempt or suspected attempt to register more than once per account or to enter more than the specified number of Ballots shall be deemed as tampering and will void all of your Ballots.

Any use of robotic, automatic, programmed or entry methods not authorized by these Rules will void all Ballots affected by such methods and shall also be deemed as tampering and will void all of your entries.

3. Prizes

Prizes:
There will be one Prize available to be won in each of the Prize Months for a total of three (3) Prizes during the Contest Period.

Each Prize consists of one cash payment of $4,000 toward the outstanding principal amount of the Winner’s mortgage with MERIX.

For customers who have already reached their maximum annual lump sum privilege payment, the Sponsor may substitute the mortgage payment prize with a VISA gift card valued at $4,000.

The $4,000 payment against the principal amount of the mortgage does not replace the regular scheduled mortgage payment.

Customers are still required to make their regular scheduled mortgage payments.

The VISA prepaid gift cards are subject to the terms of use stated on or with the card.

4. Draws and Winner Selection

On the 3rd business day of November 2025, the Sponsor will randomly draw one (1) Ballot from all eligible Ballots received between the start of the Contest Period and October 31, 2025.

On the 3rd business day of December 2025, the Sponsor will randomly draw one (1) Ballot from all eligible Ballots received between the start of the Contest Period and November 30, 2025.

On the 3rd business day of January 2026, the Sponsor will randomly draw one (1) Ballot from all eligible Ballots received between the start of the Contest Period and December 31, 2025.

All draws will take place at 200 King Street West, Toronto, Ontario at or near 1p.m. ET. There will be three (3) draws in total.

For all Prizes, the selected entrants will be contacted by phone or email at the Sponsor''''s sole discretion. Only the selected entrants will be notified.

Before being awarded a Prize, each selected entrant must have correctly answered without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a mathematical skill-testing question within the time frame specified (if any) by the Sponsor (which will be administered by phone or email).

If an eligible entrant is selected but cannot be reached after three (3) attempts, does not respond within the required time, the skill-testing question is not correctly answered within the time frame specified by the Sponsor or the entrant does not otherwise comply with these Rules, the selected entry will be deemed void and an alternate entrant may be selected in accordance with these Rules.

In addition to the above, and prior to being declared an official winner, each selected entrant will be required to sign and return the Declaration and Release Form described below in Rule 6 within the time frame specified by the Sponsor.

Only when a selected entrant has complied with all of the above requirements will he/she be declared an official winner (a "Winner").

Award of prizes will be coordinated directly with Winners within 60 days of being declared a Winner.

Any further costs and expenses not specifically described as included in the Prizes (including, but not limited to claiming and using the prize) are the responsibility of the Winner.

By entering this Contest, all entrants consent to the collection, use and disclosure of their personal information by Sponsor for the purposes of running the Contest or for any other purpose to which entrants consent.

Once submitted, Ballots become the exclusive property of the Sponsor and will not be returned.

Personally identifiable information received will be used to verify eligibility and award prizes, for any purpose to which entrants consent, or as otherwise indicated on the Contest Website, and will be collected, used and stored by the Sponsor in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

This Contest is subject to all applicable Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws, and is void where prohibited.

5. Odds of Winning

The odds of winning a Prize are dependent on the number of eligible Ballots received from the start of the Contest Period until the draw date for the applicable Prize.

The number of prizes available will be reduced as they are won during the Contest Period.

6. Release

All the selected entrants will be required to sign and return a full release and indemnity form, ("Declaration and Release Form") within the time stipulated by the Sponsor, stating that he/she has read and understood these Rules, grants all consents and authorizes the Sponsor to use his/her entry, name, city of residence, photograph, interview (if Sponsor wishes to conduct an interview each selected entrant must also consent to be interviewed by the Sponsor), likeness, comments and voices in connection with any promotion or publicity at no additional compensation to the selected entrant, beyond the awarding of the Prize.

In the event of non-compliance with these requirements (as applicable) or with these Rules, or if a Prize notification or award of a Prize is returned undeliverable, Sponsor shall have the right to disqualify the selected entrant, and randomly select from remaining eligible Ballots an alternate entrant as a potential Winner and shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard.

7. Limitations of Liability

The Sponsor will not be liable for:

• any incomplete, incorrect or inaccurate capture of information, whether caused by Contest Website users or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest, or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of Ballots;
• the theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, Ballots;
• any problems with, or technical malfunctions of, telephone networks or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, viruses or bugs;
• any failure of any email to be received by or from Sponsor for any reason including but not limited to: traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site or combination thereof, interrupted or unavailable networks;
• damage to a participant''''s or other person''''s system occasioned by participation or downloading of materials in this Contest;
• late, delayed, damaged, misdirected, destroyed, lost, illegible, incomplete, incorrect, fraudulent, or stolen Ballots which will be deemed void.

Any lost or undelivered Ballots that are not received in time to be counted towards the relevant draws will not be counted and entrant waives any recourse in relation to such lost or undelivered Ballots.

8. Miscellaneous

By entering the Contest, entrants agree to abide by the Rules and agree that the decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest.

The Prizes must be accepted as awarded and no transfer or substitution of the Prizes will be permitted except as expressly provided in these Rules or at the Sponsor''''s sole discretion. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any Prize with a prize of equal or greater value if for any reason the Prize cannot be awarded as contemplated in these Rules. Prizes are not convertible to cash. Proof of sending an entry will not be deemed proof of receipt.

All Ballots become the property of Sponsor.

Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.

Ballots are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are: illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way or do not otherwise comply with these Rules.

Sponsor reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to cancel, withdraw, amend, terminate or suspend this Contest in whole or in part at any time without prior notice or obligation for any reason, including if a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor corrupts the security, fairness or proper administration of the Contest.
